Marliese Elshazly Owner and Founder of The Baby Cottage
Back in 1986 Marliese realized there was a great need for infant/toddler care. She had a vision and The Baby Cottage was formed.
Marliese is a mother of two grown children and has a background in pediatric nursing.
When she created The Baby Cottage she formed a unique concept of providing full time care for professional working parents.
Her team is made up of talented, educated, caring and loving individuals from across the globe.
Hours Of Operation
Open 5 days per week
Monday to Friday,
7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Baby Cottage
A full-time only daycare center.
The Center has an “Open Door” policy
for the parents of the enrolled children,
who may visit their children at any time
during his/her attendance.
The Baby Cottage is designed to act as an extension of the
child’s home environment and as a support to the working parent.
We provide a safe, stimulating environment, which develops the
child’s creativity, curiosity and self-confidence.
The Baby Cottage is licensed by the State of Connecticut and
accepts children ages 2 months to 5 years.
The Baby Cottage I (on Newfield Avenue) accepts 64 children
aged 2 months to 5 years.
The Baby Cottage II (on Hope Street) accepts 40 children
ages 2 months to 5 years.
The Baby Cottage provides and includes, as part of the tuition, all food
and basic formulas, diapers and wipes, breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks.
